Tannheimertal: An Alpine Valley Full Of Flowers

Tannheim

Primary tabs

The Alps consist of different rocks. The south, north, and western Alps are calcareous, while the central Alps are acidic rock. From a botanical point of view, the northern Limestone Alps, located north of the river Inn in Austria, are more interesting than the Alps with acidic rocks such as the central part of Tyrol. The hiker or the skier will not notice this, but the plant lover will be more satisfied in a limestone area. The Tannheimertal, therefore, is an ideal plant destination.  Different plants can be found throughout the growing season. During the summer holiday season, it seems as if the plants are also on vacation, but in the spring and autumn, you can walk from one botanical gem to another.
